To ensure the app runs smoothly and securely on your device, we require permissions to process the following data:

2.1. Account & Identity

Mobile Number & Email: Used as your primary account identifiers, for login authentication, and to receive service notifications.

2.2. Security & Verification

  • Call Logs: Strictly for Verification. We request one-time access to your call log to enable "Flash Call" verification. This mechanism automatically detects an incoming verification call from our server to authenticate your number instantly, eliminating the need for manual code entry. We do not read or store your personal conversation history.
  • Emergency Contact: Used solely as a backup communication method to secure your account in case of unusual activity or loss of access credentials.

2.3. Environment & Compatibility Analysis

  • Installed Applications: We scan the list of installed apps to analyze the software environment of your device. This helps us detect potential security threats (such as malicious software) and optimize our service compatibility with other apps on your phone.
  • Device Hardware Info: We collect detailed hardware telemetry (Storage, Battery, RAM, Network, Sensors, Bluetooth, Hardware Model) to create a unique device ID. This is used to prevent bot activity, ensure the app is running on a physical device, and optimize performance based on your hardware capabilities.

2.4. User Experience & Diagnostics

  • Camera & Images: Optional. Used only when you choose to upload images for profile customization or document scanning features.
  • Approximate Location: Used to verify your region for service availability and legal compliance.
  • IDs & Crash Logs: User/Device/Advertising IDs are used for session management. Crash logs are collected anonymously to fix technical bugs.

3. Data Security

We employ industry-standard encryption protocols to protect your data during transmission and storage. Access to your information is strictly limited to authorized personnel.

4. Data Retention

  • Active Data: Retained while you use the service.
  • Archived Data: Upon account closure, core identity data is archived for five (5) years to comply with Indian IT regulations regarding data traceability.
  • Deletion: You can request deletion via service@urbangullak.com. Requests are processed within 15 business days.
  • Dormancy: Accounts inactive for 18 months will be deleted after a 30-day notice.

5. Third-Party Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share information only with infrastructure partners (e.g., cloud providers) under strict confidentiality agreements or when required by law.
